"While at a completed painting in my studio I had the urge to cover the canvas with a simple turquoise color paint which at that time represented a very troubling situation that didn't seem to offer me any solution. I continued to add color, texture and paint to this canvas as my feelings continued to overwhelm me. When I was finished, I looked at the canvas and the first word that came to mind was the word 'Menopause.'" -Berdine
